Description For sale is a 1998 Rolex Daytona, model/reference number 16519 with an original Grossular Rubellite diamond dial. The watch comes as a complete set, including boxes, papers, serialized hang tag, calendar card, the original 1995 Daytona booklet, and a 1999 calendar card. The watch has a “U” serial number, which dates the watch to approximately 1998; however, the watch was not sold until 1999, so the papers are dated 1999. The watch is 100% original and running excellent. It was serviced in September 2025, so it received a Rolex warranty until September 2027. The watch features an 18k white gold case, bezel, and clasp, a beautiful vibrant grossular rubellite diamond dial, and a Cal. 4030 Zenith automatic movement. Many examples on the market with this dial are more commonly seen in later years on the Rolex Daytona 116519 and 116509, but very few have been seen on the 16519 Daytona, making it extremely collectible. The watch is in its original unpolished vintage condition, so you can expect to see light surface scratches and scuff marks throughout the case, bezel, and clasp. The dial, hands, and sapphire crystal all appear to be clean and in excellent condition. The case measures approximately 40mm in diameter, 20mm lug width, and 12.5mm thickness.
